After School Program

Structured after-school programming that provides academic support, mentorship, and recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Why This Matters

For many youth in underserved communities, the hours after school can be the most unstructured part of the day. Without safe spaces and supportive environments, young people may miss important opportunities for academic support, mentorship, and positive engagement.

The Lennox Lewis League of Champions Foundation After School Program provides a structured and supportive environment where students can continue learning, build confidence, and develop the habits that support long-term success.

Boxing. Mentorship. Life Skills.

Learning, Mentorship, and Growth

Our program combines academic support with engaging activities that help students stay motivated and focused. Participants receive dedicated homework assistance while also taking part in recreational and enrichment activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and personal development.

We believe young people learn best when they enjoy the process. Students have opportunities to play games, participate in recreational sports, and spend time socializing with their peers in a positive and supervised environment. These moments of fun and movement help build friendships, reduce stress after the school day, and keep youth engaged in healthy activities.

Academic Support That Builds Confidence

Homework labs are supported by experienced educators, teachers, and university students who provide guidance, mentorship, and encouragement. This collaborative environment reinforces classroom learning while giving students the opportunity to ask questions, explore ideas, and strengthen their understanding across different subjects.

Beyond improving grades, the program helps students build confidence in their abilities and develop a stronger sense of responsibility for their education.

Building Foundations for the Future

As part of the Knights in the Ring™ Initiative, the program reflects the same values found in the discipline of boxing — focus, perseverance, respect, and personal accountability. By creating a balanced environment where learning, mentorship, recreation, and positive social interaction come together, participants are able to grow both inside and outside the classroom. This reflects a core belief of the League of Champions: the discipline, focus, and confidence young people build through sport and mentorship can shape how they approach school, relationships, and the opportunities ahead of them.
