Sergeant, Jamaica Defense Force | Professional Boxer | Knockout Specialist
Ian “The Impact” Darby is a professional boxer and Sergeant in the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), where he also serves as the JDF boxing coach. Known for his explosive power in the ring, he built his reputation as a rising knockout specialist, highlighted by a first-round TKO victory over Mason “Common Fowl” Brown in 2023.
Through the Lennox Lewis League of Champions Foundation’s Knights in the Ring™ Initiative, Ian brings the discipline and leadership developed through his military service into youth development programs and training camps. His role also reflects the foundation’s growing partnership with the Jamaica Defence Force, helping mentor both soldiers and young athletes while promoting the values of discipline, resilience, and excellence through sport
